Size matters ...

The judges this year are seeing the categories broken down by formats. A change this year in the rules to reflect concerns of compact publications that they not compete alongside broadsheets on the judging tables has been answered. Most major categories now reflect either broadsheet or tabloid (and where a smaller than broadsheet format is used, every effort is made to have those sizes judged away from larger-format newspapers), so the publications of similar size stay together.
