First impressions are important

A sampling of SND judges and assistants give their impressions of the first day of judging at the SND World's Best-Designed Newspaper Competition. After judging literally thousands of entries Saturday, reactions are as much about surviving the trends and cliches of the industry as much as indentifying good shared habits and inspirations.
