Into the Stretch

As of 7 p.m. Sunday, the major winners of the contest include a lot of the expected players, but there are a few surprises as well. One is a paper out of Mexico that leads the competition at this point, despite not showing a single winner in the database in the previous five editions. The other is from Canada, which still has some of the best newspaper wars around.

Of course, there's still a lot to judge -- including the entire magazine category and all the redesign work. So the numbers will shift a lot over the next 24 hours. When we get to the finish line we'll give you a more clear idea of where things stand.
