Number 900 ...

At 5 p.m. the 900 threshold was crossed, with an Award of Excellence going to The Hartford Courant in Feature Page Design for its page, "Healthy Fall."

The news judges are currently working on portfolios, as are the graphics judges. The photo judging is complete, and they're now switching over to judging entries from small newspapers. The features judges are working on illustrations, and the long-form judges are still judging special sections.
